RMAN'S Guarantee

 

We go to great lengths to ensure that the aquarium life we send you arrives in the best condition possible.

Unfortunately, there are rare instances when specimens do not survive during transit or within the 3-day guarantee period despite every effort to ensure its well-being. Detailed below are the policies and return procedures for deceased specimens.

Specimens that expire during transit or within the 3-Day Guarantee Period

PLEASE NOTE: Some specimens may appear to be dead when they arrive but will quickly rejuvenate once they are properly acclimated. Please follow the Acclimation Procedure completely for all aquatic life you receive, even if they appear to be deceased.

If a specimen is missing or deceased upon arrival, you must notify us by phone the same day you receive it. Please call us at 877-YES-RMAN to report your loss.

If a specimen arrives alive but expires within the 3-DAY Guarantee period, please notify us by phone 877-YES-RMAN or by e-mail Help@rman.com immediately. We must receive notification within 3 days of the aquarium life leaving our holding facility for you to receive a refund/credit on your purchase.

Returning dead specimens

  1. After you have notified us of your loss, place the deceased specimen in a sealed Ziploc bag with a teaspoon of table salt, and put it in your freezer until it is ready to be mailed. Never discard specimens without authorization from a RMAN.com  representative.
  2. RMAN.com will send you a SRP (Shipment Returns Packet) for the return of the specimen, and, if requested, a water sample for testing.
  3. Affix the SRP to the outside of a padded envelope or small box, insert the specimen in the Ziploc bag, and return by dropping the package off at any UPS  location, Office Max or Mail Boxes Etc. (Please do not return deceased specimens in the original shipping box).

Once we receive the deceased specimen from you, we will either issue credit on your customer account, or credit your credit card, per your request.
